Collaboration and certification: Singapore Sustainable Aviation Fuel Company Ltd. achieves ISCC CORSIA certification

We are pleased to announce that this month, Singapore Sustainable Aviation Fuel Company Ltd. (SAFCo) has achieved ISCC CORSIA Certification. The certification marks a strong step in expanding trusted sustainability certification across the sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) value chain and supports the development of credible, transparent SAF markets.

Alongside the certification, ISCC is collaborating with SAFCo to support the implementation of best practices for the management of Sustainable Aviation Fuel Environmental Attributes (EAs), helping strengthen robust accounting and traceability approaches for SAF.

Supporting credible and transparent SAF supply chains

ISCC CORSIA demonstrates compliance with the sustainability and traceability requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organization’s (ICAO) Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA). Through independent third-party certification, ISCC helps ensure that sustainability claims are transparent, traceable and internationally recognised.

ISCC CORSIA Trader certification will facilitate SAFCo in the buying and selling of SAF and its associated EAs. Certification verifies that these activities are supported by robust chain of custody requirements and internationally recognised sustainability criteria.

Advancing best practices for environmental attribute management

ISCC and SAFCo are also working together to further strengthen the management of SAF EAs.

The collaboration focuses on:

  • Developing internationally aligned accounting and chain of custody approaches for environmental attributes
  • Strengthening transparency, credibility and environmental integrity in SAF claims and reporting
  • Supporting practical and robust implementation of recognised best practices across the aviation value chain

As demand for SAF continues to grow, trusted certification and transparent accounting frameworks play an increasingly important role in ensuring environmental claims remain credible and verifiable.

Supporting Singapore's growing SAF ecosystem

Established by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), SAFCo has been created to support the implementation of Singapore’s national SAF policy through the centralised procurement of SAF, aggregation of regulated and voluntary demand, and management of SAF EAs. Its mission is to enable a scalable, credible and efficient SAF ecosystem that supports the decarbonisation of Singapore’s air hub and catalyses regional SAF adoption.

Singapore is a key aviation hub in the Asia Pacific, and we welcome this cooperation with SAFCo as a signal of continued progress in decarbonising aviation, with ISCC supporting this progress.

Why ISCC CORSIA

By combining independent certification with internationally recognised sustainability requirements, ISCC offers the integrity and transparency needed to support these activities. Our collaboration with organisations such as SAFCo contributes to the development of credible market mechanisms that can support wider SAF adoption while maintaining confidence in sustainability claims.

As SAF continues to scale globally, we remain committed to working with industry partners to strengthen certification, traceability and environmental integrity across international supply chains.
