Licensing Process

We guide you step-by-step

Follow the steps below to apply for a licence, gain access to the ISCC BrandPortal, and start promoting your licensed products.

Licensing process – become anew licensee

01. Check your eligibility

Review our decision tree to determine whether your company is eligible for an ISCC licence or requires certification.

Please note that the decision tree provides guidance only. In unclear cases, ISCC may require certification to ensure traceability along the supply chain.

If you are unsure, contact us with a short overview of your supply chain, including materials received, supplier certification, processing methods, and end use of the products.

02. Register and submit your application

Start your application process in our ISCC BrandPortal by filling out the registration form. Afterwards, you’ll receive a link to access the licence application form. Submit an application for the brand(s) you wish to include under the licence.

We will review your submission and determine whether a licence can be granted or further information is needed.

03. Sign the licence agreements

Once your application has been approved, we will ask you to provide detailed information about your company, the associated brand(s), and the scope of the licence. Based on this information, we prepare the licence agreements.

After the agreements are signed and the effective date has passed, your company becomes an official ISCC licensee and receives full access to the ISCC BrandPortal to manage and monitor your licence data.

04. Use ISCC logos and claims

To communicate your licensed products, start the logos and claims process. After approval, you may use ISCC logos and claims.

Your finished goods will also be published in the ISCC Licence Database once they are launched on the market.

Reporting period: 1 January – 31 December

Deadline: 31 March of the following year

Add brands to master agreement

Does your company already hold an ISCC master licence agreement and you would like to add another brand and individual agreement?

Update the schedules

Would you like to update the information in the schedules (e.g. finished goods, contractual territory) of your existing ISCC individual agreement?
